The parts listed below are listed for the 1600 Roadster. That car uses 38mm dome-top SUs, and all the parts listed below will work on any version of the 38mm Hitachi-SU, dome or flat. As always when dealing with old cars, it helps to have part numbers...makes it easier on the poor parts guys/gals to cross-reference an old part number with one that might work.

Different SU needles can come in handy when you're trying to tune for a modified engine. Refer to the Needles page for specific measurements for the M39, M43, and M66 needles. If you have measurements to contribute, feel free to email me.

Basic layout:
1. Throttle Interlock/Syncro Lever
2. High-Speed Sycnro Screw
3. Idle Adjusting Screw (left)
4. Auxiliary Shaft (manifold)
6. Throttle Interlock/Syncro Lever
7. Idle Adjusting Screw (right)
Over the years, your linkage will wear. My linkage was worn to the point that the auxiliary-shaft (manifold) had oblong holes for the throttle rod. Lots of free play in the pedal and poor idle return. Fortunately, linkage is one of the easier parts to obtain. The part number is listed in the NISMO catalog and it works with no fuss. Part number 99996-D1110 will only cost you $25 and get you all the shiny bits shown below:

As shown, I actually got a lot of useful stuff, in addition to the much-needed manifold-shaft:
