My Datsun 510 Sedan | SU Tech Page | My Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS

This is my first 510 and has since been sold. It provided a very reliable, fun beginning experience into the world of the 510. Now I have the time, money, space, and knowledge to begin again. The wagon went to an enthusiastic owner, so I know it will be well kept, if not modified a bit further. It was sad to see it go (my own first car I've really cared about), but I'll remember it well.

History

The car has an L20B, peanut head, cam, EI, 5-speed, 280ZXT 15"
rims, a racing seat and harness, a Sony CD player (mounted in the glove
box) with wired remote, Autometer and VDO gauges (tach, water, oil,
volts), o2 sensor with air/fuel gauge, functional Euro lamps...
The car also has my SUs on it. These have been modified to
increase air flow, include billet CNCed velocity stacks, and have had
custom needles ground specifically for the engine and cam. These SUs have
the Z-car float-bowl conversion, have been desmogged, and include new NOS
linkage from NISMO.

The engine was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. The engine had new
bearings put in 4000 miles ago because I had it out of the car. At the
same time I installed a rebulit 200SX tranny, still under warranty. I
also installed a NEW NOS Roadster clutch setup: pressure plate,
clutch disc, T/O bearing, T/O collar on a lightened/surfaced/balanced
flywheel. New Dana u-joints on the driveshaft.
Other new items include a 3-row radiator on stock tanks, new front
wheel bearings, new hoses (including NOS heater hose), NGK plugs. Oil
changed every 3K using Purolator filters (no Fram!).
