My Journey Into Mastering The Buttercup
At least I got it started. If this Buttercup Cottage turns out to be anything close to something nice, it's going to be amazing. First of all, I don't know beans from buckshot about what I am doing. I'm a natural shell egg artist, wannabe miniaturist, and a fair miniature doll maker, but I've never done a house before. I purchased these Buttercups...two of them...from an ad in one of my miniature magazines. They were $9.95 each, and I figured this was my chance at a dollhouse. Well, tab and slot construction for starters, the worst wood going, slots cut wrong, etc., it has been a pain to put together. It's finally together, but not very well. Good thing it's going to be plastered. My daughter and granddaugther had theirs put together in nothing flat. My plan was to make everything myself, but it has already cost quite a bit. We'll see what happens from now on. Below are a few of the starting pictures. Click on the thumbnail links to view larger pictures. I will post new ones as I go.

All of the graphics contained on these pages are my work. I learned how to do these things and to make these cute items from tutorials using a program called Paint Shop Pro by Jasc, which I couldn't be without, and a wonderful graphics group called PSPWorkbench. You can find them so you can join at PSPWorkbench. There are many such groups on the internet for you to learn from. I've graduated from three.
