Finished alcove thumbnail

As you'll see later, I've changed this alcove yet again. Had it all done as you see it here, and discovered that the window coverings were for the outside of the house, so had to tear them out. It appears there wasn't supposed to be window coverings on the inside of the house. Didn't make sense to me either. I've since made molded coverings from Fimo clay...just for a more finished appearance, and the fact that I'm one of those Virgo creatures and can't leave well enough alone. It will make me much happier to have finished windows, and I don't know if I'm going to put curtains up or not. Maybe on the two oblong windows, but not the top rounded ones. We'll see. The cushion was made from a piece of my son's throw away neoprine weight belt and a piece of quilting scrap. I didn't have any batting, so I used this. It's soft enough for Santa's rear when he comes to visit. The hinges were purchased, and there were some imperfections at the corners of the alcove seat, so they were covered with Class-A-Peel scraps. Handy stuff that is. You should see the eggs you can create from them.
